ABOUT
Lisa Frühbeis, graduate from Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, has made a name for herself in the field of feminist comics. Her book "Busengewunder" was published by Carlsen Verlag in 2020, receiving the Max und Moritz Prize for the best German comic strip, and the Bavarian Art Promotion Prize for Literature. Her work has been presented in numerous exhibitions, including the Literaturhaus Munich, the Brooklyn Art Library in New York (US), the Andersen Festival in Sestre Levante (IT), and the Vasseau Moebius in Angoulême (FR). She has been on artist residencies in Angoulême (FR), Lofoten (NO), Malmö (SE), Gatineau, Québec (CA), and St. Moritz (CH), among others. Lisa Frühbeis teaches illustration, in 2019 at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg, the Macromedia Munich, and currently at the Technical University Munich. She is also a graphic recorder and creative coach. From 2016 to 2018, she was elected as secretary to the board of the professional association of illustrators IO, which she also represented as the German representative in the European umbrella organization EIF.
